Illustrators Lounge uses a great monotone color-scheme that puts an emphasis on content. The charcoal covered layout is simple and clean, yet includes subtle touches of grunge, such as the watercolor splatters in the header background. Despite the limited color-scheme the site uses light and shadow to direct the readers eye - dark solid areas draw the eye, whilst white space is used for padding and balance.
