Web design of on-line store has to meet certain criteria. This site looks and feels just right. High resolution pictures and detailed product info is certainly not enough.
Web design is all about positive "emotional" after-taste. "This site must have been made by pros" - that's my "emotional" after-taste.

Using characters in web design may be quite friendly or at least entertaining. Robots are our friends - a well known fact from childhood.
Night club web sites sell fun. Web design should be quite promoting but still informative and deliver the atmosphere of the club.
